Call Team's Meeting Minutes
Welcome to the Call Team’s Meeting Minutes. We are currently meeting on a biweekly cadence. Since we were organizing and getting the website page up and running we gave a little summary of August but from here on we will be updating this page biweekly. The purpose of this is to give everyone some insight into what the team is doing.
August 2024
We paved the path for what the transition and steps involved will look like. We also started the necessary documentation that we will need for the process of looking and eventually hiring a new pastor.
September 17th 2024
We prepared Pastor Steve and Dave for their trip to the LCMC gathering to talk to potential candidates. Continued with reviewing and refactoring documentation (interview questions, job description, etc.).
October 8th 2024
Pastor Steve and Dave returned from the LCMC gathering and discussed their insights, including potential interest in the position. They are prepared for next week’s meeting with the LCMC resource that will assist us with the call process.
October 16th 2024
The Call Team met with an LCMC resource to address questions about the process. He offered valuable insights into the team’s current approach and provided guidance on how to keep the team progressing effectively.
October 29th 2024
Assisted in reviewing and preparing key documents for the pastoral search process, including the job description and congregational profile. The Call Team also engaged in discussions regarding interview questions and outlined the next steps to ensure continued progress in the process.
November 12th 2024
The call team spent some time going over what are some top priorities when looking for a new pastor and aligning on those for moving forward. Continued working on documents needed to start the interview process.
November 26th 2024
The call team discussed the interview process and started to craft up the job posting.
December 3rd 2024
The call team continued to discuss the interview process and they are going to review the job posting. The job posting should be staged and ready to go before the end of the month.
