Conflict in the Middle East always brings with it an increased interest in Biblical prophecy, with many preachers and authors linking today’s events with some key Bible verses. The point that is often made is that all the prophecies are lining up just right, and therefore, the end of the world is just around the corner.
One of the primary sources for these end-times prophecies is the New Testament book of Revelation. It is a strange book, it is very difficult to understand, and it is interpreted in a wide variety of ways. In the sermon this Sunday I will give a brief overview of what I believe we can, and cannot, learn from this very old, very odd book.
