This Sunday we’ll hear about John the Baptist, certainly one of the more colorful characters in the Bible and in all of history. He wore camel hair as his coat, long before it became a fashionable trend. His diet of locusts and wild honey was his main staple, long before it became popular on the Food Network Channel. His blunt, tactless approach could have easily gotten him cancelled. And his marketing techniques seemed rather crude. Yet, despite his unconventional approach, we are told that people from all over the region flocked to hear his blunt, unfiltered message of “Prepare the way of the Lord.”
Though it’s not always appropriate, there’s something refreshing about a guy who tells it straight up and lays it on the line. In this second Sunday in Advent, come hear it from a guy who “tells it like it is.” Join us for worship. Our Sunday Service times are 8:30 & 10am, with Live Streaming available at 10am.
