If you were to ask people, “What is the greatest source of joy in your life?” I think most peoples’ answer would include relationships, such as with a friend, a family member, falling in love or holding a newborn child.
On the other hand, if you were to ask, “What’s the greatest source of pain in your life?” I think again the answer would include relationships. When a relationship goes south, be it through hatred, abuse or divorce, the hurt runs deep. It can feel like a knife in the heart with a sting that is almost unbearable.
Few things matter more in this world than relationships, and so this Sunday we’ll talk about love, particularly love without limits.
Though we sometimes don’t know it, we all have an insatiable hunger for love. It’s part of the human condition. When Jesus came, he taught a deep understanding of love along with a profound ability to give love that was unique. His teaching launched a movement that is bigger and longer lasting than any other … and it is still growing. Join us this Sunday as we talk about how to receive and give this kind of love.
