Have you ever considered that you and I are hardwired for hope? You don’t live by instinct. Every decision you make, every response you have to the situations and relationships of your life, is fueled by, and motivated by hope. Every message I prepare to preach, I do so with the hope (and prayer) that it will speak a Living Word and impact lives for the kingdom.
The story of your life is a story of hope achieved, or not. Happy moments are when hope is fulfilled. Sad moments are when hope is dashed or destroyed. You and I are always looking for hope. We are always attaching the hope of our heart to something.
We tend to look for hope in all the wrong places. We look for hope where it can’t be found, and so we’re often disappointed, frustrated and confused. We end up wanting things to give us hope that are unable to deliver. This Sunday we kick off a new mini-series, Growing for His Glory, as we consider The Value of Hope. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
Join us in worship this Sunday. Our service times are 8:30 & 10am, with Live Streaming available at 10am.
Invite a friend to be your guest. They will be blessed.
