Easter Message Preview:
In an old B.C. cartoon two women are sitting on a small hill. One is reading the Bible and says, “Oh, my goodness . . . says here . . . Jesus descended into hell!”
The other is shocked and says, “You’re kidding!” Then the woman with the Bible says, “Oh, no … not to stay! He just dropped in to cancel our reservations!”
That little cartoon is chock full of the story of what happens on Easter.
The problem is that many of us have a hard time believing it really happened and it’s really true. We are not alone. Before Jesus, Old Testament belief in the afterlife was scarce and vague. But that only makes the claims of the resurrection even more startling.
How did beliefs change so rapidly? How did they become so widespread? Never in history has there been such a dramatic shift in thinking, by so many people, in such a short period of time. The ironic and amazing part is that those who first discovered the resurrection, were equally surprised.

Easter Sunday, March 31: Services will be held at 7:15 (Sunrise), 8:30 and 10am with Holy Communion at all services. An Easter Egg Hunt will be held after each service. Continental Breakfast served from 8-10am. Live Streaming available at 10:00 AM.
