Happy New Year! I read about a guy who had just decided his New Year Resolution was to live a more “unplugged-life” including disconnecting himself from technology… including … you know, things like … uhhh … ? He ended up asking Google what kind of things unplugged people do … besides working, eating, sleeping … and wondering how in the world people like us became … ahh … people like us.
As we ring in the new year, we might wonder what kind of year 2023 will be. That, of course, depends. Maybe we feel like we know what we need to do next, but we don’t know what we need to neglect. Time is one of those elusive things that passes faster every year. C. S. Lewis once said that we were not made for time, but for eternity. And since eternity is outside of time, it feels strange to us.
