Without thinking about it, I think we often search to know a person’s heart. Are they a person who truly cares? Are they genuine and sincere? Do they live out what they espouse?
Even in casual conversations or talking with acquaintances, we want to know a person’s heart.
One of the few places Jesus talks about his heart is in Matthew 11 when he says, “I am gentle and lowly in heart.” But there are many other places where Jesus’ heart shines through by what he does or what he says. These are passages that reveal not only Jesus’ heart, but also the reason he came. This Sunday we’ll look at one such passage in Mark 1.
