Martin Luther once said, “As for myself, I judge the loss of all one’s possessions easier to bear than the loss of a faithful friend.” (Singer and songwriter Shania Twain said, “A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.” Indeed, a friend is someone who walks in when everyone else has walked out.
Proverbs says, “A friend loves at all times and a relative is born to help in adversity.” Good friendship is a special thing, and it will be our focus this Sunday as we talk about an old topic in some new ways.
