The church is not an organization; it is an organism, whose living parts work together as a whole. Likewise, the human body is an organism, an amazing amalgam of organs, muscles, joints, tendons, bones, and brain functions all working together every time we move or take a breath. So it is with the Body of Christ. All the parts have different gifts and roles, but we belong to each other.
In the short history of FaithPoint, I’ve had the privilege of seeing countless teams of people work on small and large tasks. A big blessing from that endeavor is the task at hand gets accomplished. But an even bigger blessing comes from the bond of fellowship that comes from working together on a common calling from God. Often deep friendships are formed that continue for years. I get the best seats in the house as tasks get completed, community happens and friendships forge. That’s why I love this church. God has richly blessed our faith community.
