“What the Gift Tells about the Giver”
It isn’t the gifts we receive at Christmas that tell the story about who we are, but the gifts we give. The gift that God gives at Christmas says more about his character than any other event in history.
Christmas Eve is a time to give gifts and grace people with unexpected surprises. Have you ever struggled with what to give someone? Have you ever considered that it isn’t so much the gifts we receive at Christmas that tell the story about who we are, but the gifts we give. If that is really true, what does the gift that God gives at Christmas say about God? James 1 promises that “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.” Come celebrate the gift that comes down from God at Christmas; it is God’s greatest gift to all humanity.
